Free CommuniTea Party coming to Witham

A FREE tea party bringing Witham’s community together has been organised by a team tackling social isolation in the town.

Carrie, Charlotte, Jo, Mark and Paulina are creating a solution that addresses the isolation felt by many in Witham and the surrounding villages through All In, Eastlight Community Homes’ ground-breaking community programme.

They are inviting everyone to drop into the Witham CommuniTea Party taking place outside the United Reformed Church in Newland Street on Tuesday, 30 August between 12pm and 4pm.

The event will appeal to all ages and includes games, competitions and fun activities along with some free home-made treats and hot drinks.

Visitors can learn about the work the team are doing to reduce social isolation and discover how they can get involved.

Paulina Kostas, one of the All In team for Witham, said: “We would love to meet like-minded people who share our belief that everyone in Witham should have the opportunity to feel connected.

“Come along, meet us, enjoy a free drink and some home-made goodies and hopefully you’ll leave with some food for thought as well.”
