Trusted

money (isn’t) too tight to mention.

Our team was first brought together by Eastlight Community Homes by the opportunity to spend 12 months tackling the cost-of-living crisis in Colchester. Throughout that time we’ve been working alongside local residents to create a programme that supports those with money worries.

Our aim is to completely break the mould and give people the confidence they need to address and manage their finances. Not only will this help with the every day stresses that money can cause, but it will free up the time spent stressing to give people back the quality time they deserve.

So, how are we going to do this?

Trusted is our initiative that brings Colchester’s community together to increase residents’ knowledge on managing their personal finances over a money confidence programme. It’s the first of its kind in the UK, and we aim to equip people with the right skills and knowledge to manage their money concerns in the best way possible. Through sharing advice and discussing options in these sessions, the programme will support real people struggling with the cost-of-living crisis, and hopefully, beyond.

Our recent pilot programme was a huge success and we’re thrilled to have helped so many residents with their finances. Across the first 6-week programme, we’ve managed to save our group £31,376 – and that’s only the figure so far!

Our programme is here to help you, for free, without any contracts or unnecessary paperwork. We’re a community coming together to support each other with their money.
