All In Alliances invite residents for free cake at community meetings

Community Empowerment Officer, Lauren Brimson, Head of Resident and Community Engagement, Dave Smith, Estate Ranger, Jeremy Usher and Customer Influence Committee Member, Craig Clackett.

Residents in Halstead & Colchester are invited to share their thoughts on community issues next week.

The All In Alliances were created by Eastlight Community Homes last year for residents who want to make a difference in their community.

So far, more than 300 residents have met up at quarterly meetings and agreed how they will take action to tackle the issues that matter most in their communities.

The Alliances are hosting a drop-in session in Halstead and Colchester this month to bring the community together with free tea, coffee and cake.

The session will offer local people the chance to voice their ideas on how we can improve the city’s community and local area together.

The meetings are:

  • Wednesday, 27 September at Torsbeanie café in Weaver Court (CO9 2JN) between 12-1.30pm.
  • Thursday, 28 September at Greenstead Community Centre, Hawthorn Avenue, (CO4 3QE) between 12-1.30pm.

Lisa Harper, Eastlight’s Community Engagement Co-ordinator, said:

“The All In Alliances is a fantastic space for sharing your thoughts and ideas on how we can create change. We want to meet people who are passionate about their community and want the opportunity to share their views with us. Everyone should get the opportunity to make a difference in their area, so now’s the time to get involved!”

Keep up to date with All In via Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.
